We are looking for a proactive, diligent and confident Conveyancing Assistant to support the fee earners in our conveyancing department.
Responsibilities
• Opening files, ensuring compliance obligations are met
• Assisting in the drafting of contracts, documents and correspondence
• Undertaking property and Land Registry searches
• Submitting Certificate of Title
• Ensuring clients are kept up to date throughout the transaction
• Managing the fee earner’s diary and day to day tasks
• Liaising with Estate Agents as required
• Registration processes
• Undertaking all aspects of administrative and secretarial duties
• Assisting in preparation of Completion Statements
• Assisting with SDLT requirements
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
• Has experience in conveyancing but this is not essential and a candidate who is willing to learn the role will be considered.
• Has experience in an office environment, preferably within a law firm
• Proficient with technology, specifically Microsoft products
• Preferably has an understanding of Solicitors' Accounts Rules
• Preferably has previous experience with a Case Management System
• Takes pride in ensuring clients are kept happy
• Understanding of Data Protection
