Family Solicitor/Legal Executive/Paralegal
We are seeking a Family Lawyer or Paralegal for our well respected, dynamic and busy Family Law Department. The available position is at our Staplehurst office but the successful candidate will need to be willing to travel to our St Leonards office for client meetings as and when required.

Duties
- Reporting to the Head of Department, you will support on, work towards dealing with and eventually deal with your own caseload of Family Law matters including relationship breakdowns, divorce, finances, children, domestic abuse, nuptial agreements
- You will be responsible for communicating with clients and third parties whilst maintaining accurate records of all actions taken.
- The role requires a rounded individual who must be proactive and well organised.
- Drafting correspondence to clients, the “other side”, Court etc
- Drafting Court Applications, Statements and other documents required for Court Proceedings
- Briefing Counsel and liaising with Counsel and their clerk(s)
- Communicating with the Court
- Managing the Court Portal
- Advising and assisting clients face to face, remotely or by telephone as well as in writing
You will be
- A Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 1-year PQE or a Paralegal with at least two years relevant experience.
- A great communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work under their own initiative and manage their time and workload appropriately but will be supervised and mentored as required/wanted
- IT literate.
- Experience with a Case Management System is beneficial but not essential
- A working knowledge of relative regulatory requirements, including the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
